A weekend in May...

On Friday Mommie and Daddie took me to their friend Erock's boyfriend's art show... (boy was that explanation confusing!) I got to walk around and look at all these cool (weird?!) pieces of art. The first question in my life that I cannot get an answer to, is, "What is Art?" Exactly.

Next Mommie and Daddie took me to the Lilac Festival where there was some serious music going on. When we got near the band I could actually feel the drummer hitting my ear drum with his drumstick, and that really FREAKED me out. Needless to say, I wasn't that happy about it, so we went to the food tent which smelled amazing. I watched mommie and daddie down some Indian food. I had my fix later via the milk of the breast.

On Saturday, we wanted to go back to the Lilac Festival but on our walk over, shit got crazy. There was wind in my face, water hitting me directly on the eyes, and a sea of gray clouds engulfing the Black family. I guess mommie and daddie didn't like it because we sprinted back to the car. Instead, we did what any American would do, and went to the mall. The highlight of the mall, besides seeing lost of people, was the delicious cookie that daddie got. He almost touched some sweet frosting to my lips but mommie stopped him. Thanks a lot, mommie. I really wanted a bite of thaaaaaat!

On Saturday evening, we went to a fiesta Mexicano with all of daddie's friends from medical school. It was at Aunt Jennie's secret garden (I don't know why she calls it that because her garden is actually not a secret, because I know about it....I guess it just is? We danced, had libations, mexican food, and then some of the adults played pin the tail on the donkey. Dad wouldn't let me watch because it was "the adult version." I don't know what that means either, but I will find out one day. I wiiiiilllll!

Aunt Ang came to babysit me Saturday night so mommie and daddie could go to Aunt Adrienne's house to meet all of her friends. Thanks Ang! I was good the whole time and hardly let out a peeeep!

By the way, it's been 48 hours since I pooped! To be continued...

I'm older than 3 months!

I can't believe it is already May. I love the Spring. The air is full of pollen and dad sneezes all over me and it's just so glorious. I love being at the epicenter of a snot-storm.

Mommie keeps talking about camp...cam this, camp that, grass, lake, girls, all you can eat breast milk buffet and how exciting it will all be. I guess I can't wait. That souds like paradise! She says we leave so soon! Daddie can't come the entire time so I am really sad about that. I heard a rumor that I might be dating over 200 girls by the end of the summer, all at one time. Can that really be true? Really?!

So let's see. Guess what I did this past week. I went to New York City. The Big Apple. The City that never sleeps. And I partaaayed all night long! I went from Friday to Wednesday and it was fantastic! What is weird, though, is that I didn't even see one apple the entire time I was there. I now know why New Yorkers are thought to be so whacked out, for saying such crazy things, like the BIIIIIIIG APPLE! On Saturday morning, I took a walk with Daddie and Grandma Karen and Grandpa Mark up to meet Mommie. She was at a party for the new campers that were coming to Fernwood this summer. I got to meet the new campers!! I liked them all so much, especially the one that had brown hair. I also met Fritz, Christine and Emma - it was very exciting.

Then we walked and walked and walked and finally met Uncle Justin and Uncle Jason for lunch. The food looked good but I slept through most of it. Right before I went to the bathroom, I had a huge fart which ended up being a huge poop. When Mommie went to change me in the bathroom, the poop slid up my entire back - it was awesome for me and gross for mommie. Sorry for you mommie but glad for me, because big poops are the shit!

Post meal, I walked to the Hudson River with mom, grandma, and grandpa. Dad went to go see some friends and drink mint julips whilst watching horses run around a track. That sounds weird but I am sure one day dad will tell me why it's actually cool, and not weird at all. Later that day went to Amber for dinner, the food came out and everyone ate while I just stared at the ceiling first and then at the back of my eyelids. I'm like my dad and grandpa black and grandpa mark, we can fall asleep anywhere! Woot!

On Sunday, we went to the pool and I got to go swimming for the first time! Daddie took me in the water and IT FREAKED ME OUT! We went in, I cried, dad didn't accept my cry as truth, he kept me in, I continued to cry, he then accepted my cry as truth, and we got out. Dad's sister, Aunt Leah, and Uncle Jason came to visit later that day, and so did my cousin Daniel. I got to hug them and play them! Uncle Daniel told me all about what it is like to be THE MAN. Life skillz, that is what that guy gave me. I can't wait to see all them again! Want to move to the ROC?

On Monday, I had a playdate with Henry, who is only 3 days older than I am and Jacob who is 2 years older than me! Both of those kidz were giants compared to me! They were really nice to me even though I was their runt. Their mommies came to the play date too, it wasn't just guys night out...their moms were Aunt Alex (Henry) and Aunt Audrey (Jacob); they are both friends of mommie's from camp. We felt like celeberties the entire play date. It's like we were center court at the NBA Finals or something. It was photos after photos after photos. We took photos! It was to good to meet them!

Monday night Grandma Karen, Mommie, and I went to see my Great Grandfather - my POPPY! He held me and I snuggled with him! I hope I get to see him soon! He told me that I am the most handsome gentlemand his side of the Hudson. He said the most handsome gentleman on the other side of the Hudson is my daddie, obviously. That's where I get it from!

On Tuesday, we walked around all of New York and hung out with mom's cousin Elissa! I saw so many shops and people!

Then I got to give swimming another try. I don't know if it was dad just being too abrupt with me or that I was already used to the water, but this time it was the shizzzz. I love the water. It reminded me so much of what it was like to be a fetus. Baby Zane is happier than fetus Zane though, because baby Zane is obsessed with not being attached to a cord all the time! Jeesh! That tangent aside, swimming was great. I can't wait for camp so I can swim every day!

I was so sad to leave the No Apple on Wednesday but once again so excited to see Daddie and my sisters!

12 weekszzzzz!

I am 12 weekszzz! Does that mean I'm 3 months? Or does it mean I am 3 months on May 2nd! Somebody tell me! 1+1 is supposed to add up to 2 isn't it?!

So let's see... Aunt Niki was great again this week. She gave mommie free time and it ruled! We had great times laughing together. She taught me all about life and technology and about what it is like to be a lawyer. It sounds fun. Next time she comes she is going to teach me how to sue people, that'll be helpful.

These days my life is SUPERcrazy. Almost every day I get to take a walk outside, stare into the air and not knowing what in the name of hey-soos I am staring at and dodge white fecal matter coming from the bird that fly over. I get plenty of time on the play mat too, it is great. I keep looking in the mirror on the play mat and see this RIDICULOUSLY handsome chap but I can't tell who it is. Is it possible that I am THAT good looking?!

Last weekend Aunt Julia and Aunt Jen were came to visit! Julia is mommie's friend from high school and college and Jen is friends with mommie from college! We had such a frat-tastic time. We went out for Thai Food at mom and Dad's favorite place, Thai Taste. Shouldn't it be called Taste of Thailand instead? We ate with Julia and then picked up Jen. On Saturday it was 87 degrees out! Can you believe it! My first taste of summer. Boy was I hot. It was so frizzing hot that I was naked all weekend!! I couldn't bare to continuously sweat profusely, plus, I love being naked! I can't wait until I am 2 so I can wear my Birthday Suit all day! Woot!

We went for a really long walk on Saturday. Aunt Jen and Aunt Julia wanted to walk over to the University of Rochester. Aunt Jen hadn't been back since 2000! And guess what I got to do - I got to go to my first D-day. Dandelion Day is the one day of the year where everyone at the University of Rochester where everyone partaaayyyssss. Everyone on the fraternity quad kept looking at me and saying "Is that a real baby?" Is that a baby on the quad? I guess they thought mommie, Jen and Julia looked like college kids!!! I think they look young. It was crazy and I partied my face off! I can't wait until D-Day next year, I will show those bozo's that I am not a baby, I am a toddler, fool.

While on campus, we went to the school store and tried on lots of sweatshirts and clothes.
On Saturday night, Aunt Julia and Aunt Jen cooked this amazing dinner for mommie and daddie - they are so nice! Avocado, shrimp, chicken, lettuce, rice, mango with a great dressing and focaccia to die for! Luckily I made it out, alive.

On Sunday we walked again and Aunt Jen and Aunt Julia played with me! We walked to the Disterilly and had lunch - we wanted to make sure that they got to go to all the places they missed from college! COLLEGE!

On Sunday night we went to my second concert ever! This time it was the med school Acapella group! I really enjoyed the tunes...They invited me to join the group but I decided to turn them down because I felt that my voice is more R&B.

I was so sad to see Aunt Julia and Aunt Jen go. Tears were shed by all. I obviously cried the most, baby.

On Monday afternoon Uncle Sol and Aunt Jennie came over to go for a walk and hang out. It was another really hot day! Dosa missed us so much that she escaped from the gate and tried to find us. Instead we ended up looking for her. What is daddie going to do about my sisters that keep escaping! And then Jennie played with me and read to me too! I WILL MARRY HER.

I am so excited to be three months old! I can see my hands, I can coo and smile more than ever and I love life!
