I am at CAMP FERNWOOD!!!!

i arrived on thursday. the drive was long. i mean i was in the car from 8am to 6pm. i was like get me the hell outta here! all i wanted to do was stretch out my legs! the car was packed. there were like 4 hundred bags and boxes in the car, mommie was in there, and so were Nemi and dosa. It was the epitome of inZane. grandma karen followed mommie the whole way in her car too. i'm sorrie mommie but we really have too much stuff. For RealZ. Luckily dad is the freaking man and traded mommies jeep in for a mini van. I don't know how we would have done it without it?!

when i got to camp - it was nothing short of amazing. i couldn't believe how beautiful all the trees were. there were trees that were taller than me and daddie combined! it was crazy! and the sounds of the birds...AMAZING! there had to have been at least 2 different species! chirp! the first thing we did when we got there was go to the cottage. when we got there, we found carpenter ants everywhere! the exterminator named mr. earl came to the rescue. he came directly from killing some roaches to come and lend us the helping hand. thanks earl, that was so bugtastic of you. the downside of this situation was that we couldn't stay at camp for the night because apparently toxic bug killing fumes aren't good for babies. so, friz, the owner of the camp sent us to a bed and breakfast nearby. it was called the wolf cove in. there were no wolves there and it wasn't on a cove. if you're confused about the name, raise your hand (my hand is up!).

on friday - we really got moving, or at least mommie and grandma did. they simultaneously played with me and cleaned, and unpacked and got things ready! they must think someone is really special.... they spent the entire day doing all sorts of things.

Camp Fernwood is the most glorious thing i have seen. the lake is beautiful. the water is crystal clear. there are trees, one billion blades of grass, wooden cabins, dead leaves, stones, sand, tennis courts, horses, and more! i can't wait to swim in the lake! i am so jealous because my sisters have control of their legs and where they get to go and as a result, are having the time of their life - swimming, running, sprinting after squirrels, and wrrrrastling....all.....day....long. I just watch from the baby carrier.

grandpa mark came up on friday for the weekend and mommie said it was so incredible because he stayed at camp for the first time ever! mommie has been coming here since 1987. it's now 2009. That means that in the past 22 years grandpa mark has never wanted to sleep at camp. until. now. it's hard being the best and cutest little baby ever. someone has acquired FGV (first grandchild virus).

we had such a good time together. grandpa held me, walked me around camp, talked to me, and told me about the clarinet. it was great.

5 days into this thing, i have already met lots of people and seen so many things. I've met kiwi's, aussies, brits, and mainahs (people from maine). I'd have to say that the mainahs are the craziest. everybody's accents are hard to understand though....

on sunday, grandpa mark left and mommie and grandma and I played. we walked. we played. we walked. we played. we played. we walked. we laid down. we looked around the lodge. we saw the horses. we walked. we played. i went to the breast milk buffet. we walked. we slept. we played. we saw the lake. we saw a bug. i cried. we walked. we played. i ate more breastmilk. i pooped. welcome to paradiso.

on sunday, aunt suzi came to see me. she lives in freeport, maine and has known mommie since 1990! it was so good to finally meet her! she held me lots and took me to the lake! i liked her red hair. mommie told me that although i liked it, my hair was probably going to brown like hers and daddies. i guess i'll get over it.

aunt cathy and uncle tater came by on sunday too! they brought dosa's sister and littermate, huxley. the doggies were so excited to reunite and it was so good to see the newleyweds. they slept over too! they told me that they thought mommie and daddie might have had too much fun at the wedding. is is possible to have TOO much fun? If anyone could do it, it's probably my parents.

In poop news, I finally pooped on Monday after not pooping for 9 DAYS! can you believe it? me, mr. pooper, mr. stinky, mr. i go 40 times a day! i was holding out, not sure why but I was.... i had been farting, seriously farting for the past week. i mean stinky STINKY farts. and then grandma picked me up around 3:30pm on Monday and she said, I think we got a stinkeroo! so we went to the changing table and BOOM! there was poop everywhere! i mean everywhere but wait it gets better. mommie lifted my legs up to clean a little more and POW! i pooped out a medium cup of soft serve (just like soft serve icecream) poop! i had never done that before- it had always been liquid and this was my first soft serve!! so exciting! woot woot!

i am so excited for camp. you have no idea. there is so much to see and do here.
i am sad that grandma is going home tomorrow. she has been the biggest help to mommie! she has been taking care of me, keeping mommie relaxed, and setting up my room. thank you so much grandma. we couldn't have done it without you!
my room is done and i love it!

i miss daddie a lot - he comes on friday and i can't wait!

until next time.

one love.
